Welcome to the Holiday Edition of the
Municipal Volunteer Program (MVP)
Quarterly Newsletter
As 2020 comes to an end, I want to thank all of the volunteers who showed up and helped the city while maintaining social distance.  This year has proven we are able to reimagine anything and you, our volunteers, helped make that possible.

In this issue, you will find a volunteer 'shout out' to our new CLEAN Frisco volunteers, along with highlights from Breakfast with Santa, Merry Main Street - Dashing through the Square and Frosty 5K, as well as Tips and Tricks on Better Impact. As the City of Frisco continues to work on future events and volunteer opportunities, we look forward to working with you again soon.

Stay safe and Happy Holidays!

Sincerely,
Kristina Daniel

Volunteer Spotlight

THANK YOU for a PAWSITIVELY
Awesome Job!

We had a great start to our new CLEAN (Community Litter and Environment Action Network) Frisco program.  Since starting in September, volunteers have logged more than 85 hours CLEANing Cottonwood Creek ParkCottonwood Creek Trail, Teel Pond and the newly named Ironhorse Trail.

Here are a few of our CLEAN Frisco volunteers hard at work!

The Long Family with the find of the day at Cottonwood Creek Trail - SpongeBob Square Pants.  Teel Pond is CLEANer now thanks to several volunteers - Nikhil Nehra, Koushik Allam, Sai Vemula, Vanshika Srivastava, Colin Chi, Weylin Chi, Sid Galva and Rajitha Galva.

Tips & Tricks
Did you know you can add multiple organizations
to your volunteer profile?

If you have an existing profile on MyVolunteerPage.com (i.e. you are already volunteering with another organization who uses Better Impact), you can complete your application form by entering your existing username and password under the heading “I already have a username”.

Because MyVolunteerPage.com can hold a profile for you related to different places you volunteer,
sometimes volunteers end up with a profile for more than one organization. If this happens to you, here’s how you can combine the two.

Important note: Doing this will still mean only you can see you are part of two or
more organizations – the system does not let either organization know you
volunteer somewhere else.  See steps below to merge two existing profiles.
  1. Log on to MyVolunteerPage.com with the username you wish to keep
  2. Click on the MY PROFILE tab
  3. Click on the “Merge Profile” section
  4. Enter the username and password of the new profile you would like to merge into your existing one (i.e. the one with which you have logged in)
  5. Click the [Get Profile] button
  6. Continue following the steps to merge your profiles.

Please note: You cannot merge duplicate profiles that exist within the same organization.
