Do you know and care about people who are at risk of abuse or neglect?
If the answer is yes, then Devon’s Safeguarding Adults Board needs your help.
Would you like to help the Devon Safeguarding Adults Board become more effective?
The Users and Carers subgroup is holding an Advisory Forum on the 24th May 2016 from 1:30-3:30pm (in Exeter at the X-Centre).
They ensure the community voice is heard by the people responsible for delivering effective adult safeguarding.
What’s it all about?
Your local Adults Safeguarding Board needs to hear from people in Devon about their priorities for keeping people safe and free from neglect or abuse— whether at home, hospital, or any situation where there is a responsibility to protect adults at risk. We’d like to hear from as many people as possible. We’ll be running this workshop style event (and other throughout the year) where everyone will be able to have their say.
Who is this event for?
Healthwatch Devon has a place on the Devon Safeguarding Adults Board, and we also run the Users and Carers Sub Group which helps the Board to hear views and concerns from the people of Devon.
- Devon people who know and care about adults who may be at risk of abuse or neglect
- Devon community organisations who work with people who may be at risk of abuse or neglect
Come and share your views, experiences and ideas with us about how adults in need of safeguarding can get the best from services.
