Light Up Corydon Wine Tasting

 

When: Saturday, November 30th

Time: 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.


 

Historic Downtown Corydon will "Light Up" the square on Saturday, November 30th. We will be having a wine tasting that evening from 5:30-8:30 p.m. This is a FREE event! Old 502 Winery and Rettig Hill Winery will be pouring their wines that evening. Come and share some wonderful wines as you enjoy the Christmas lights and festivities on the square as we kick off the holiday season.

 

*Please note – Must have a valid ID & no one under the age of 21 will be permitted to enter the tasting area.

4th Annual Winter Wine Walk


Saturday, December 14th from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. shop at locally-owned downtown businesses, sample wines from twelve local wineries and enjoy the sights and sounds of the season. Begin the walk at the Blaine H. Wiseman Visitors Center located at 310 N. Elm Street. Admission is $10 with proceeds benefitting a local charitable organization. Tickets can be purchased at Point Blank Brewery.

We will be a food stop on the wine walk this year. Food will be catered by Mike Hoehn! Stop by to sample some of his awesome food!  He will be serving two of his most popular dishes!


Recipes to Celebrate the Holidays


Best Vineyards Mulled Wine


1 Bottle of Best Vineyards Nouveau*
1 bag mulling spices*
1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
1 cup water (optional)

Heat wine and sugar until just steaming. Pour mixture over spices in an insulated container. Let steep for 1-2 hours. Serve with a garnish of orange slice.

Sparkling Holiday Punch
Recipe from Cooks.com

 
1 (32 oz) bottle of chilled cranberry juice
1 qt. chilled orange juice
1/2 cup chilled lemon juice
1 cup sugar
1 bottle chilled white wine
2 bottles of chilled champagne

Combine cranberry juice, orange juice, lemon juice, and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves. Add wine and pour over ice in punch bowl. Stir in champagne just before serving. Garnish with orange slices (optional).
