Some majors have it easy. Explaining why your engineering degree qualifies you to be an engineer isn’t rocket science. But what happens when the job title listed doesn’t perfectly match the name of your degree? We don’t exactly offer degrees in beer brewing, children’s television show creation or WNBA team ownership, even though our alumni have gone into these same careersGet ready for the Internship Fair with this guide to what employers are looking for and how to show off your liberal arts and sciences degree. This is the time to showcase your professional skills and what you’ve learned in your liberal arts and sciences classes.

Having an internship can make a huge impact on your future career. College of Liberal Arts & Sciences students who held an internship while at KU had a 24% higher rate of employment than students without an internship.

Visit the annual Internship Fair, hosted by the University Career Center and the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, on Wednesday, November 18th from 3:00-6:00 pm in the Kansas Union. Prepare for the fair by downloading the Careers by Symplicity app to view attending organizations, and visit the One Stop Prep Shop the day before the fair to get all your Internship Fair questions answered!​
