- Rate per unit on Level Headings – a quantity and unit can be entered against level headings which will flag the heading for “totaling”. The amounts below the heading, until an equal or higher hierarchical level number is found, will sum and divide by the quantity entered against the level header to provide a rate/unit for the section heading or “big item”, i.e. rate per km for a road or tunnel.
- Enhanced Multi-user facilities – research, development and testing currently underway for enhancing the Multi-user experience in Candy to include, inter alia, a full bill of quantities for each user (not restricted to one page/user), ability to define and/or change a Global Variable and sending selected Subcontract rates to bill whilst in Multi-user
- Bill Macro – a consolidated item or item that comprises of sub items of varying trades, i.e. a manhole, can be created on the bill of quantities as a “parent item” with associated “children” items below. Alternatively an existing Macro Worksheet can be converted to a Bill Macro. The children items belong to and sum up to the parent item. The children items can have different units of measure to the parent item and can be priced per “one-off” quantity in a similar way to using the Pricing Quantity of a Macro Worksheet. The children items can be subcontracted and/or linked to the program separately.

Qatar to award $22bn worth of contracts in 2016
Qatar is set to award more than $22bn worth of new contracts during 2016 in preparation for FIFA 2022 World Cup.
The value of contracts set to be awarded is 24% lower than the $29.3bn worth of deals secured in 2015.
The plummeting oil price is partly to blame, while a renewed focus on existing project delivery has taken precedence over new projects.
