Hello--

QCI's annual breakfast is this Thursday, November 8th. Breakfast reservations are by Monday! Call 563-322-4910 to reserve your seat or table. Also, if we have your name, we'll print a name tag for you!

St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Rock Island is organizing a "Vigil of Love" to surround Temple Emanuel and Congregation Beth Israel during a joint worship tonight. We are hoping to have a strong interfaith showing. There will be no speeches. No signs. Just silent, strong love surrounding the Temple. Please join us.

You can read about other events and training opportunities below.

Quad Cities Interfaith is working to unify the member organizations affiliated with our work of "Creating a More Just Society."

If you would like more information or would like to get more involved, call 563-322-4910 or email qcinterfaith@gmail.com

Vigil of Love
Friday, November 2
6 p.m.
Temple Emanuel
1115 Mississippi Ave. Davenport

We will gather around Temple Emanuel in Davenport on Friday evening before and during their services and silently surround them with love. No preaching. No prayers. No political signs. Simply hearts of this community surrounding our neighbors with love and care as they gather the week after tragedy. The Temple and Congregation Beth Israel from Rock Island are worshiping together this week at 6:00 p.m. as the K-1 class of the joint religious school co-lead the service.

Hosted by St. John's Lutheran Church in Rock Island.

As people gather, we will circle the Temple, hopefully at least once, with some facing out and some facing in. Please ask those you invite to car pool and park on the streets around the Temple, so that we do not take up the spots of those worshiping. Please dress warmly and bring a lawn chair if you have difficulty standing for long periods of time.

If you wish to bring a sign of love, bring a single flower. There will also be a limited number of crocheted hearts available to share.
