The next general meeting of One Human Family QCA will be held on Tuesday, October 16 @ 4:00 p.m. @ Temple Emanuel.

There will be many important items on the agenda for discussion including the role of CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE and our support of it.

The Community Education & Awareness Task Force is moving forward with the planning of our next symposium – “Responding to the Many Faces of Hate” – which we hope to put on in late February.  We also hope to invite other community social justice organizations to help in its planning and presentation.  Our task force has a planning sub-committee for this event.  However, we wish to open this sub-committee to others who are interested in helping with the planning.  If you wish to serve on this sub-committee please notify me (Rabbi Karp) ASAP.  We would like to meet, if possible, during the week of Oct. 22-26.
Join us for our Task Force Assembly--find out about what's going on at QCI

First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa has been caring for people affected by the immigration raid. While many household and grocery items are needed, the greatest need right now is funds. Rents are due. Utilities need to be paid. And legal assistance costs money. And for most, it was the breadwinner of the family that has been taken into custody or deported.

Quad City residents can drop donations off at the
Unitarian Universalist Congregation
3707 Eastern Avenue
Please call the church 563-359-0816 before you drop off items, as staff presence varies slightly from day-to-day.
