Writer's News

Jericho Brown’s The Tradition has been selected for One Book, One Philadelphia, an annual citywide reading drive hosted by the Free Library of Philadelphia. This is the first time in the program’s nineteen-year history that a book of poetry has been selected. Andrew Nurkin, the Free Library’s deputy director of enrichment and civic engagement, said of the choice, “We wanted to find a title that felt right to the moment in recognition of the year we had and a way forward. Poetry seemed exactly the thing we needed.”
