Just a few days left! AWP will award three scholarships of $500 each to three first-place winners in the genres of creative nonfiction, fiction, and poetry. All winners and six finalists of the Kurt Brown Prizes will also receive a one-year individual membership. Send in your creative work now!

We are still accepting applications for our Writer to Writer mentorship program! W2W matches emerging writers of poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction with published authors in their chosen genre. Apply via Submittable by April 15 for Season 16 of the program. This session will run from May 9 to July 29, 2022. Please reach out to with any questions.

AWP would like to thank all attendees, exhibitors, and panelists for the success of our #AWP22 conference and bookfair! The conference hosted 6,000 in-person attendees and over 1,000 virtual attendees. Highlights from the conference include poet Toi Derricotte’s keynote address and our other featured events. Over 120 virtual events are available on our virtual platform, Pathable, until May 1, 2022. Please register for access to the post conference literary events if you have not done so already.
