Each year, AWP awards three scholarships of $500 each to emerging writers who wish to attend a WC&C member writers' conference, center, festival, retreat, or residency. This year, Lesley Nneka Arimah won the fiction prize for her short story "Who Will Greet You at Home." Emily Yoon won the poetry prize for her collection that includes "Comfort" and other poems. Aurvi Sharma won our first-ever creative nonfiction prize for her work "Apricots." Bookfair Sales to Open in June

The online bookfair purchase and management system is scheduled to open in June of 2015. AWP uses the rolling exhibit sales process to replace the point system in order to continue rewarding exhibiting organizations for their commitment to AWP and the bookfair.
