Polly made a life long dream trip to Tibet in late June for 20 days. She was on a horseback riding holiday. Her ride was assisted by yaks carrying their gear. The highlight was spending time with the nomadic Tibetans in the high pastureland living in black tents made of yak hair. Their lifestyle is to be commended for their hard work, authenticity and simplicity. It was an interesting, exciting and eye opening experience!

We had to say good-bye to Mickey in late June. He lived a long full life at Mahoosuc. Mickey was the lead dog for Polly's 3rd team for many years, loved everyone and was a kind, gentle soul. This is Mickey in lead in this photo. We miss him...
Polly just guided a very nice group of folks on the West Branch of the Penobscot River. We had a record breaking sail down Chesuncook Lake with a tailwind. We tied 4 canoes together as a catamaran and made it from Cunningham Brook to Mouser Island in 3 hours! Jason Pardilla, Penobscot Native, and Sam Day were great helpers on the trip. Vixen was the lucky sled dog who got to go with us. She is very obedient and loves the extra attention.

We have a new website! Check it out at It isn't too early to book a dogsledding trip for this winter! Our schedule can be found at:
