Maine guide Kevin

Spring has sprung at Mahoosuc, finally! We have had some cool weather but we can now relax into the next season of canoe building, canoe trips and events in our lodge. "MAY 7th" we will see many people enjoying music in our lodge by the Gawler Girls Band and happy feet swinging around the dance floor. Please come for an enjoyable evening! Kevin is building a 16' Prospector wood canvas canoe in the workshop with a man who is in his early 70's and is fulfilling a lifelong dream of building and owning his own wood canvas canoe. He is a joy to work with! We have many canoe trips booked for the summer season with some exciting new additions on the calendar such as "Ways of the Wabanaki" on Sugar Island in the Penobscot River, guiding with legendary Gil Gilpatrick on the Allagash Wilderness Waterway as we celebrate it's 50th year.  Some women's canoe trips including a trip to the Grand Lake Stream area with a Native Plant study and their medicinal uses finishing the trip with the local folk festival. Kevin will be teaching some white water clinics to folks wanting to become more proficient paddlers in Class 2 & 3 white water. Bring on the summer and all it's fullness! Hope some of you can join us this season for some memorable time on the water and in the woods!
