We have had a busy winter here at Mahoosuc with our doglsedding trips despite the unusual weather and fluctuating temperatures. Many people have joined us for this once in a lifetime experience.

We will soon be hanging up the dog harnesses and dusting off the canoe paddles as we shift gears into spring and summer canoe adventures. See our website for a complete listing of trips:

In February we had to say good bye to one of Kevin's former lead dogs, Orla. She was very devoted and is missed dearly here.

We are still looking for a loving home for Bradey and Maura who are siblings and 7 years old. Maura doesn't want to be a sled dog and Bradey has had a knee surgery and can't be a sled dog anymore. They are very friendly and will make great pets and companions.

A big thank you goes out to apprentices, Michaela, Rose and Lene for their hard work and dedication to Mahoosuc this winter. We are now looking for summer apprentices who would like to learn about canoeing and care of sled dogs in the off season of winter trips.

We will be hosting a couple events at our lodge this spring:
April 22-23 Wilderness First Aid course with instructor Jon Tierney from Wilderness Medical Associates
April 22-24 Wilderness First Responder Refresher & Open Recert course
May 7 Old Fashioned Barn Dance with Buttermilk Hill Band
