Just like the flowers in bloom, our organization is in the midst of some amazing changes! Keep reading to learn about our new Music Therapists, new Board of Directors, AND our new school location in Murfreesboro!

As many of you know, the services Love Learning Music provides for underserved children are therapeutic and produce such amazingly positive results.  One LLM Mom said, “Music therapy with Love Learning Music has had a significant impact in further developing areas of my son’s global developmental delay. LLM has enriched my son’s life beyond my expectations.”  We have to thank God for positive results!  

You may not know that Music Therapy is a board-certified Allied Health service field much like Occupational Therapy. Also, Music Therapy is very helpful like talk therapy or counseling. Most board-certified music therapists have studied psychology and music education to best serve their clients.  

Thankfully, it is not legally required to have a certified music therapist to use the term music therapy, because we are just now welcoming our first board-certified music therapists to the team!  Phew!  It has been an amazing journey, serving the children that need services as best our little team could.  All the while, we have been praying for the right music therapists to come and join our team. 

This Spring we are welcoming Riley Sue and Jamison Fox to the Love Learning Music Family. We’ll share more info on these two passionate and talented ladies in next month’s newsletter, please stay tuned.   

Now, we can all talk to people we know to see who has needs for music therapy. We need to find more children to serve. So children with any special needs, behavioral health or mental health struggles, kids that have suffered trauma, and any kids that need an adaptive and therapeutic approach to education. The Love Learning Music model is to unify the community and meet people where they are. Please celebrate with us as we prepare to open our first school location in the community of Murfreesboro! This location is thanks to a great partnership and dedication from El Ancla Comunidad Christiana, a local hispanic church!  

We are reconnecting with our Murfreesboro community looking for available teachers to do group classes and private lessons. This is a major mentorship and community impact opportunity. Please share the news with parents who would like to get their children involved in classes,  lessons, and potential teachers.  Also, know any spanish speaking people looking for a good church? The Love Learning Music Board of Directors has recently changed to include a total of 7 dedicated members with various giftings, passions, and positions.  We are thankful for a structure of wise counsel within our organization.  We are currently rebuilding our website and once it get’s published we will include our board member bios.  

Thank you to everyone who contributes to the Love Learning Music Mission!  Our board, our team, parents, volunteers, donors, supporters, partners, thank you, thank you, thank you!  It truly takes a community to raise a child. 

Think about this, I mean really envision with me, an adaptive music education program that teaches children progressively how to listen, express themselves, regulate their emotions and behavior, and declare the truth to get through hard times.  Our amazing curriculum team is making this a reality!  Every Monday we meet on zoom to keep crafting the curriculum for our adaptive education program.  We are also developing easy-to-understand tool kits for parents to learn this method of Listen - Express - Regulate - Declare so they can reinforce and follow-up the education at home.  If you are looking to serve and have time on Monday nights, contact us to get plugged in.  We can always use help with researching various topics and contributing to our Curriculum Team.

We have also assembled a grant writing team to earn grants and fund our programs!  Anyone interested in research for potential grants we could apply for, please contact us today so we can add you to the team!  This is also a 1 hour per week time commitment, no skills or education required, you only need passion for helping children who need us.  Let’s create passionate pioneers of positive change, as a unified community!
