Die FCI (Fédération Cynologique Internationale) und die IRO haben die Arbeiten zur Adaptierung der IPO-R, die 2024 veröffentlicht werden soll, in einem gemeinschaftlichen Online-Meeting Anfang Juni gestartet.
Wir bitten alle IRO Mitgliedsorganisationen ihre Änderungsvorschläge zur IPO-R bis spätestens Ende August 2022 an Ingrid Meikl vom IRO Ausbildungsreferat zu senden.

IRO Kurse
in der zweiten Jahreshälfte
|
|
Vom 1. bis 3. Juli 2022 wird in Bad Wörishofen, Deutschland, ein IRO Mantrailing Kurs für Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene abgehalten. Als Trainer fungieren Frank Kania und Alois Russegger. Die Anmeldung ist noch bis einschließlich 15. Juni möglich.
Ebenso im Juli, und zwar vom 13. bis 17. findet in Schöneben, Österreich, ein IRO Kurs in der Flächensuche für Fortgeschrittene statt, unter der Leitung von Ralf Gilles und Silvia Mielich. Anmeldungen werden bis 28. Juni entgegengenommen.
Weiters wird vom 25. bis 28. August 2022 auf der IRO Trainingsanlage in Schöneben, Österreich, ein IRO Kurs für Anfänger in der Unterordnung organisiert, mit Andrej Žunič als Trainer. Eine Anmeldung ist bis 10. August möglich.

Für die IRO Richtertagung, welche dieses Jahr im März stattfand, ließ Ausbildungsreferentin Jerneja Ternovec ein Mantrailing-Video produzieren.
In diesem Video werden die einzelnen Schritte der Mantrailing Prüfung (Stufe A) laut
IPO-R anschaulich gezeigt. Es wird erklärt, was es vom Legen des Trails bis hin zur Prüfung zu beachten gilt.

IRO Fortführendes Training
in der Trümmersuche
|
|
|
Vom 29. bis 31. Juli 2022 haben MRT-zertifizierte Rettungshundeteams und Rettungshundeteams, die sich auf den MRT vorbereiten sowie Einsatzhunde mit Level B die Möglichkeit, ihre Fähigkeiten in der Trümmersuche zu festigen und weiter zu vertiefen.
Das Training beinhaltet Übungen und Suchen als Einzelteam und in der Gruppe sowie Anzeigeübungen und Motivationstraining.
Wenn du dabei sein möchtest, dann melde dich noch bis zum 28. Juni an.

Hidehiro Murase mit seiner viertältesten Enkeltochter
Als ehrenamtlicher IRO Repräsentant ist Hidehiro Murase bereits seit 2015 das Sprachrohr des asiatischen Raums und übt eine wesentliche Koordinationsfunktion aus. Er ist Präsident der staatlich anerkannten japanischen Rettungshunde Organisation Rescue Dog Trainers Association (RDTA) und pflegt regelmäßigen Kontakt zu anderen Rettungshundeorganisationen Asiens aber auch Europas. Er widmet sich voller Hingabe der Ausbildung einsatzfähiger Rettungshundeteams nach höchsten Qualitätsstandards. Im asiatisch-pazifischen Raum kommt es schließlich nicht selten zu starken Erdbeben oder Schlammlawinen.
Rettungshunde sind mit ihren feinen Sinnesorganen unverzichtbar in der Suche nach Ver-missten und Überlebenden von Naturkatastrophen. Das macht das ehrenamtliche Engagement von Rettungshundeteams umso wertvoller. Hidehiro Murase ist es daher besonders wichtig, die gesellschaftliche Wertschätzung für diese verantwortungsvolle Aufgabe zu erhöhen.
Trotz seiner mehr als 40-jährigen Erfahrung in der Arbeit mit Hunden fasziniert es ihn nach wie vor, zu welch unvorstellbaren Leistungen die Vierbeiner mit der entsprechenden Ausbildung fähig sind. Der Schlüssel des Erfolgs liegt darin, die Selbstständigkeit der Hunde im entsprechenden Maße zu fördern, ihnen die Leistungsfähigkeit ihrer Nase bewusst zu machen und sie dabei Freude an ihrer Aufgabe verspüren zu lassen. Wenn das gelingt, werden die Hund selbst in schwierigen Situationen ihre Arbeit verlässlich ausführen und im Einsatz Erfolg haben.

IRO Courses in the
second half of the year
|
|
From 1 to 3 July 2022, an IRO Mantrailing Course for beginners and advanced will be held in Bad Wörishofen, Germany. Frank Kania and Alois Russegger will be the trainers. Registration is still possible until 15 June.
Also in July, from the 13th to the 17th, there will be an IRO Course in Area Search for advanced participants in Schöneben, Austria, under the direction of Ralf Gilles and Silvia Mielich. Registrations are accepted until 28 June.
Furthermore, an IRO Course for beginners in Obedience will be organised from
25 to 28 August 2022 at the IRO Training Grounds in Schöneben, Austria, with Andrej Žunič as trainer. Registration is possible until 10 August.

For the IRO Judges' Meeting, which took place this year in March, training spokesperson Jerneja Ternovec arranged for a mantrailing video to be produced.
In this video, the individual steps of the mantrailing test (level A) according to IPO-R are clearly shown. It explains what is important from the laying of the trail through to the test.

IRO Enhanced Capability Training in Rubble Search
|
|
|
From 29 to 31 July 2022, MRT-certified search and rescue dog teams and search and rescue dog teams preparing for the MRT, as well as search and rescue dogs with Level B, will have the opportunity to strengthen and expand their skills in Rubble Search.
The training includes exercises and searches as a single team and in a group as well as indication exercises and motivation training.

Meet the team: Hidehiro Murase - Avid SAR dog handler
|
|
|
|
Hidehiro Murase with his fourth eldest granddaughter
As an honorary IRO Representative, Hidehiro Murase has been the organ of the Asian region since 2015 and has an essential coordinating function. He is the president of the Japanese Rescue Dog Trainers Association (RDTA) and maintains regular contact with other search and rescue dog organisations in Asia and Europe. He is dedicated to training mission-ready SAR dog teams to the highest quality standards. After all, strong earthquakes or mudslides are quite common in the Asia-Pacific region.
With their fine senses, search and rescue dogs are indispensable in the search for missing persons and survivors of natural disasters. This makes the volunteer work of SAR dog teams even more valuable. It is therefore particularly important to Hidehiro Murase to raise the level of recognition for this responsible task in society.
Despite his more than 40 years of experience in working with dogs, he is still fascinated by the incredible feats the canines are capable of when trained properly. The key to success is to encourage the dogs' independence in the right way, to make them aware of the power of their nose and to let them enjoy their task. If this can be achieved, the dogs will be able to do their job well, even in difficult situations, and they will be successful in the mission.
