Dear Members:

Kicking off the winter season, IFMA NYC is pleased to announce our upcoming programming and special events calendar. Please check our website and mobile app for a full schedule.

On Wednesday, October 14 we held the Show Me The Money! – Financial Incentives for the Sustainability-Conscious FM discussion panel moderated by Ann Kayman, CEO of New York Grant Company where attendees learned expert ways to receive fiscal incentives such as grants, rebates, abatements, tax credits as well as traditional and specialized funding sources. On Wednesday, October 21 we held the American Red Cross Presentation - Your Emergency Preparedness Plan where Facility Managers learned how to protect the safety of their employees and tenants by developing proactive strategies.

We are very excited to announce our Annual Holiday Party on Monday, December 7 at the Celsius at Bryant Park. Join us in celebrating the season and supporting Fraterinite Notre Dame through a toy drive. Please also save the date for our Annual Awards for Excellence Dinner at the Pierre Hotel on Thursday, January 28. Communications Committee:

Coming soon – Stuart’s Corner! This will be our monthly column with Stuart Goldberg of SiriusXM answering all your pressing facilities management questions!

Sustainability Committee:

The CUNY School of Professional Studies is now offering a free Building Operating Certification Training for IFMA New York City Members. These 8-week courses are offered during the day once per week (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM) and also in the evening twice per week (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM). IFMA Cares Committee:

Since January 2014, IFMA Cares has raised approximately $60,011 for the following charitable organizations:

  • American Foundation for Suicide Prevention: $7,011
  • Dress for Success: Two clothing drives
  • ASCNYC: One clothing drive
  • IFMA Foundation: $37,000
  • Fraternite Notre Dame Toy Drive: approximately 250 toys
  • St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: $16,000
