I hope you are enjoying the beginning of the fall season. IFMA NYC is pleased to announce another exciting schedule of programming and special events for the next few months. Please check our website and mobile app for a full schedule of upcoming opportunities.
On Monday, September 28, we held our Annual Golf Outing at the Knollwood Country Club in Elmsford , NY. Golfers and non-golfers alike enjoyed a beginners clinic, tennis tournament, raffles, prizes, trophies, memorabilia auction, cigar rolling and of course a full day on the 18-hole golf course. I would like to extend a special thank you to the Golf Committee and the chairs for their hard work in organizing such a wonderful event.
The coming months will be packed with exciting events and networking opportunities as well. Please save the date for our Holiday Party at Celsius at Bryant Park on Wednesday, December 2 and our Annual Awards for Excellence Dinner at the Pierre Hotel on Thursday, January 28. The CUNY School of Professional Studies is now offering a free Building Operating Certification Training for IFMA New York City Members. These 8-week courses are offered during the day once per week (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM) and also in the evening twice per week (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM). Since January 2014, IFMA Cares has raised approximately $37,500 for the following charitable organizations:
- American Foundation for Suicide Prevention: $1,500
- Dress for Success: Two clothing drives
- IFMA Foundation: $20,000
- Fraternite Notre Dame Toy Drive: approximately 250 toys
- St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: $16,000
