LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
As summer comes to a close, I hope you enjoyed lots of sun and fun with friends and family. This fall will be activity packed as we continue to work with the mayor’s office (landlord/tenant sustainability challenge), schools (mentorships and educational awareness), and other chapters. Stay tuned to the upcoming IFMA NYC Fall programming and special events calendar.
On Wednesday, July 13, 2016 IFMA Cares hosted their 3rd Annual Happy Hour Fundraiser Benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at Suite 36. The final donation check will be presented to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at our Annual IFMA NYC Golf and Tennis Outing on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Knollwood Country Club, we hope to see you there! The IFMA Foundation Fundraiser and Wine Tasting Social was held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Time, Inc. This annual event supports Facility Management higher education, students studying Facility Management and related fields, research critical to the profession, and increasing awareness of facility management and making FM a career of choice.
On Monday, September 12, 2016 we are hosting an Ergonomics Toolbox Luncheon at Humanscale. This seminar offers guidance on designing healthy work environments by exploring current client oriented challenges and bridging the gap between workplace aesthetics and functionality while proactively addressing ergonomic concerns. On Wednesday, September 21, 2016 we are holding a sustainability panel discussion on Improving the BMI of Your Workplace.
