April was a busy month for our Chapter. On Monday, April 27, prospective IFMA members had a rare opportunity to see behind-the-scenes of the United Nations, hosted by Mark Camera, DSS Project Manager, CMP Security Section. The exclusive tour included insight into how the United Nations stays on the cutting edge of technology while maintaining the original look and feel of the space. On Tuesday, April 28, the Y.E.L.P. (Young Emerging Leaders and Professionals) Committee held their first Mentorship Program Information Session, where they outlined and discussed the newly launched program with prospective mentors and mentees
The May calendar is full of opportunities for IFMA members. On Wednesday, May 20, we are hosting an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Citi Field. After the tour, attendees will gather in a luxury suite to watch the Mets play the St. Louis Cardinals. The second annual St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Happy Hour Fundraiser will be held on Wednesday, May 27 at Public House. The CUNY School of Professional Studies is now offering a free Building Operating Certification Training for IFMA New York City Members. These 8-week courses are offered during the day once per week (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM) and also in the evening twice per week (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM). - American Foundation for Suicide Prevention: $1,500
- Dress for Success: Two clothing drives
- IFMA Foundation: $20,000
- Fraternite Notre Dame Toy Drive: approximately 250 toys
- St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: $6,000
