On Wednesday, May 20 chapter members enjoyed an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the New York Mets home stadium, Citi Field. The tour was followed by a luxury suite viewing of the New York Mets vs. St. Louis Cardinals game. On Wednesday, May 27 the IFMA Cares Committee held their second annual Happy Hour Fundraiser at Public House benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Over 250 attendees enjoyed cocktail specials, networking, a 50/50 raffle and a guest appearance from Caitlin McFeely, Senior Regional Specialist ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The June calendar is full of opportunities for IFMA members and guests. On Thursday, June 11 we will hold our monthly members-only networking breakfast at Humanscale. On Tuesday, June 23 the Communications Committee is hosting an “FM Guide to Social Media and Technology Trends” event including an expert panel moderated by NYC Global Real Estate and Facilities Executive, Brian Schwagerl, an iPad giveaway and one-on-one tutorials. On Saturday June, 27 the Y.E.L.P. (Young Emerging Leaders & Professionals) committee will hold their first ever Softball Tournament at East River Park. It has been a great honor to serve as president for the past two years and I look forward to watching this incredible chapter continue to grow. The CUNY School of Professional Studies is now offering a free Building Operating Certification Training for IFMA New York City Members. These 8-week courses are offered during the day once per week (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM) and also in the evening twice per week (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM). - Dress for Success: Two clothing drives
- IFMA Foundation: $20,000
- Fraternite Notre Dame Toy Drive: approximately 250 toys
- St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: $6,000
