LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
I hope you are enjoying the beginning of spring. I would like to announce the upcoming IFMA NYC programming and special events calendar.
We partnered with the Fire Safety Directors Association to hold the FDNY Active Shooter Presentation on Tuesday March 1, 2016 at One World Trade Center where attendees learned how to prepare their facilities for and respond to an active shooter situation. On Thursday, March 10, 2016 we held the March Members-Only Networking Breakfast and Dress for Success Clothing Drive. Dress for Success is a nonprofit that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. On Tuesday, March 16, 2016 we held the Breaking the 3-30-300 RuleThrough Design - Sustainability Panel Discussion where attendees heard from industry experts from Humanscale, Ted Moudis Associates, Rifiniti and Condeco on how to reduce the most impactful facilities cost categories.
On Tuesday, April 12 we will be hosting the Toolbox Luncheon: Integrated Pest Management in Your Facility where attendees will learn from Entomologist, Hope Bowman on how to identify, treat and prevent pests in their place of work. Our April Members Only Networking Breakfast will be on Thursday, April 14. Please check our website and mobile app for a full event schedule.
