We have been kept busy with a number of educational, networking and charitable events for our members. In July, IFMA NYC held its Toolbox Luncheon at DORMA. Expert panelists from city and state environmental and governmental organizations were joined by moderator Amelia Janisz of EZBuildingsEHS, to give IFMA NYC members all the tools needed to remain on the cutting-edge of environmental, health and safety in their facilities. IFMA NYC also held the 2015 IFMA Foundation Fundraiser and Wine Tasting Social on Thursday, August 13 at Time, Inc. This important event benefits the IFMA Foundation which continues to support of Facility Management in higher education, including support for students, research and awareness. This year’s fundraiser featured casino games, raffle and silent auction Items, at-the-door prizes and a pop-up art store.
The coming months will be packed with exciting event opportunities as well. Please join us on Monday, September 28 at the Knollwood Country Club in Elmsford, New York for our Annual Golf Outing. This year’s outing will feature a beginner’s clinic, tennis tournament, raffles, prizes, trophies, tequila tasting, memorabilia auction, cigar rolling and great networking opportunities. The CUNY School of Professional Studies is now offering a free Building Operating Certification Training for IFMA New York City Members. These 8-week courses are offered during the day once per week (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM) and also in the evening twice per week (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM). - American Foundation for Suicide Prevention: $1,500
- Dress for Success: Two clothing drives
- IFMA Foundation: $20,000
- Fraternite Notre Dame Toy Drive: approximately 250 toys
- St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: $16,000
