AVCLP - Program Days
Participants completing the annual AVCLP program are nearly one third through their course, and have already travelled to the extremities of our region, visiting Mansfield, Benalla and Corryong.
So far the group has completed an opening retreat, a skills development day, and program days studying the Regional Economy, Community Development, and Health and Wellbeing.
More extensive reports and a range of images from the Program Days can be found at our website. Keep visiting the website's 2014-15 Reports page for regular updates http://www.avclp.org.au/news_2014-15-reports.html
AVCLP was pleased to support the ABARES (Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences) Wodonga conference held on the 18th September.
Guest speakers tackled topics from climate change to the changing landscape of agricultural land and sustainable agriculture.
AVCLP board member, Chris Mirams, delivered a very interesting presentation on the topic of resilience in farming, and an open forum at the end of the day, led by former ABC rural reporter Libby Price, was supported by AVCLP.
