Although the brewery team isn’t known for being overly sentimental, this special 10th anniversary provides an appropriate, if fleeting, moment to coax forth some reminiscences in a spot of collective navel gazing.
Hal Kannor said: “My earliest memories of the brewery are Ethan and Ralph being put in the mash tun when they were much younger, to clear out the malt. They were only ones who could fit inside.
“Also going out delivering in Dad’s car before we had a van and having to carry all the barrels as Dad always had a 'bad back’”.
Head brewer Ethan Kannor said: “My fondest memories are of ‘jousting’ with Hal and Saint George’s Day pub tours, playing random games.
“Also, making ice sculptures underneath the fermenters with former head brewer Sophie De Ronde.”
MD Roland Kannor said: “Moving into the new brewery, almost 3 years ago now, brought it home to me how far we’ve come in 10 years.
“Visitors and customers taking brewery tours can now come to a nice bar and visitor centre rather than a shed.”
