Lightbulb - Your moment of sudden inspiration

Big Apple Brixton

If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.

Big Apple Brixton

Ah, New York City.

"Concrete jungle where dreams are made of".

Aside from the fact those lyrics make absolutely no sense, NYC is still one of the most buzzing, eclectic places in the world.

...but it was even better in the 1970s.

So much so; Big Apple Brixton - set to open at the end of this month - is wholly-dedicated to the sights, the sounds and the all-encompassing party culture of 1977 New York City. Think guerrilla artists, funk and disco fusion sounds, and Studio 54 vibes, hosted from the same rooftop space (and from the same team) as the sell-out Brixton Beach Boulevard that took hold of London over the summer.

Guests of this interactive winter pop-up will have plenty to see, plenty to do, and predictably, plenty to eat and drink too.

Sup on themed and boozy cocktails at the Harlem-inspired Brixton Apollo Bar, dance your pretty socks off in the glitter-clad La Freak night club, or chow down on NYC-style eats from the likes of Burger Bear, Mac to the Future and Grandmaster Slice.

It's the 70s: do whatever the hell you want.

Now get outta hea!

The Big Apple Brixton opens on 27th October, and runs every Thursday-Sunday until the end of the year. There are a number of private rooms and spaces available for larger groups.
