Right, when you’re quite done with your banal post-break office chat and pretending to enjoy your new healthy lifestyle; we’ve got just the antidote to make your social life interesting again.
…in the form of a multi-experience, hedonistically-creative indoor festival no less.
Commandeering the Islington Metal Works on 5th February, Rumpus: Sword Swallowers and Cult Followers will see the venue completely transformed into a no-holds-barred, animalistic playground, fronting seven separate rooms, immersive entertainment, art exhibitions, live music, DJs, and so much more.
The event takes its inspiration from Burning Man Festival and parties aboard discursive-cult favourite, the MS Stubnitz. The core theme of the night is undoubtedly all-out-debauchery; but on top of that, guests of the experience also get the opportunity to explore, discover and interact with Rumpus’ unique set-up and maze-esque space.
With a focus on live music and experiential-partying; there isn’t much you won’t find at this off-kilter fiesta. From 'turbo gypsy' sets to drum ‘n’ bass tunes, kazoo orchestras, roaming performers and fire-breathers to out-of-body sensory experiences; this place allows for absolutely zero minutes to hear about your friend's new wholesome, heavily-involved exercise regime.
Which is nice.
Tickets for the event have just gone on sale today. The event will take place on 5th February, 10pm-6am, at Islington Metal Works. Click below for the (suggested, not compulsory) dress code and full line-up details.
