It was reported this morning that the word 'vegetarian' in newly-launched food ventures has increased by a whopping 60% in the last 4 years.
The London Wing Fest did not get that memo.
Taking to Dalston's Gillett Square for a day and night session of quality eats, beers and live music, this meaty gathering pays homage to the annual Buffalo Wing Festival in New York, where a reported 2.4 million chicken wings are said to be consumed.
Following on from sell-out success over the last few years, The London Wing Fest is back and bigger than ever, bringing together the best in chicken wing talent from across the country. Expect big names including White Men Can't Jerk, BBQ Lab, Joe's Southern Table, Red's True BBQ, Absurd Bird and plenty more to be in attendance, alongside craft beer, cocktails and bourbon aplenty.
Every guest will receive a Wing Fest trucker hat, a bottle of Frank's Red Hot, and a voting card; to put forward their voice on who should be crowned the best of the best on the day.
Who will win(g)?
Well that's up to you.
(P.S. if you do want in, for the love-of-hot-sauce don't hang about; 50% of the tickets have already been sold since their release this morning).
London Wing Fest is taking place on Saturday 20th August in Gillett Square, Dalston. There are a very limited amount of early bird tickets still available.
