Pop-up cinemas. They’ve been on rooftops, they’ve been secret, they’ve even been a little smutty.
But they’ve never been underground.
Until now that is; Press Play are back with their newest, most experimental event yet, hosted from the deepest darkest depths of Old Street Underground Station. The subterranean den will secretly operate in the first week of August, for five consecutive nights, screening five of movie-history's biggest, and coolest hits.
Lose yourself in Lock Stock, Casablanca, The Italian Job or hell even Trainspotting as you chow down on your complimentary 'little brown bag' filled with home-made sandwiches, and treats from Propercorn, Spun Candy and Urban Fruit. A luxury hideaway beneath the streets, you'll also find Press Play's pop-up bar serving ice-cold booze and movie-appropriate tipples.
We guess when they said they'd 'press play anywhere' they really meant it.
'Under the Ground' runs from Wednesday 6th - Sunday 10th August, there are early and late screenings available. Limited amount of tickets only. Screenings of 'Fight Club' on 6th August have already sold out. Click below for more info.
