Pillow Cinema

Beanbags, Blockbusters & Beers

Pillow Cinema

Like other high-brow sites such as ours (ahem) - of late we've been finding ourselves asking the same question, over and over again: in, or out? But more specifically; to hide away under our duvets and stuff our faces silly, or to get up, enjoy London, and try something new?

Both are valid options, and both are hangover-dependent. But not only are they whiny first world problems, they're also problems of the past.

Thanks in main, to Pillow Cinema.

Combining the joys of a night in like a killer film, a cosy blanket and a drink or two, with a cool industrial location and communal set-up; this pop-up-cinema-with-a-difference promises the best of both worlds.

Hosted from a National Trust, Tudor-period country home in Hackney, guests of this cosy affair can expect giant fatboy beanbags, cushions, blankets and a licensed bar for tasty food and tipples. The event is running from 18th March to 2nd April, screening a varied selection of new blockbusters and cult classics. The first upcoming series will see the likes of Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet, Spectre, The Danish Girl, Steve Jobs and more.

Things just got comfortable.

Pillow Cinema is hosted from Sutton House (Homerton High St, Hackney, London, E9 6JQ). Single seats are available, as are sharing beanbags.
