Motion Picture Supper Club

Flappers, foot stomping, movie escapism and golden age glamour. Is there anything that the roaring 1920s didn't give us?

The internet, s'pose they didn't have that.

The love child of Tanqueray Gin and Disappearing Dining Club, Motion Picture Supper Club is a foray into all things 1920s. Taking to the grand, awe-inspiring decadence of the Bloomsbury Ballroom for two nights this May, Motion Picture Supper Club offers up razzle dazzle 'em revelry with a sweet dose of dining and a vintage movie to boot.

Start your frolics with a top-notch Tanqueray cocktail in the charm of a secret Art Deco bar, soothed to the jazz sounds of the Basin Street Brawlers, all before embarking on a mouth-watering meal. Poised in the majesty of the Ballroom, you'll then indulge in a three-course candlelit dinner that boasts the likes of New York striploin with lobster bérnaise, and popcorn parfait; all set alongside Motion's selected movie: American Beauty or Catch Me If You Can, depending on the night.

Think that's where this artisan adventure ends? Not a chance, toots. Finish the evening with dancing, debauchery and cocktail carousing as the Basin Street Brawlers get those bodies movin' until late on into the night.

Remember folks, it's like F. Scott Fitzgerald once said, "Here's to alcohol, the rose colored glasses of life"

NB: Rose colored glasses will not be supplied.

Motion Picture Supper Club takes place on May 22nd and 23rd at The Bloomsbury Ballroom, Holborn. Dinner, film and after-party tickets are £65, or head to the after-party for just £10 a ticket.
