Keys in a bowl, extramarital action, dancing.
Any form of swinging is usually indicative of a thumping good time.
Celebrating all that was great about the ‘swing era’, Rhythm Junction London is a one-day festival promising retro tunes, revelry and plenty of jazz spirit. The event will transform Hackney’s Round Chapel into a vintage dance hall featuring live music from the country’s leading swing and jive bands, support from top-swinger DJ Pat da Kat, and the sponsorship nod from retro fashion brand Vivien of Holloway.
Organised by the nostalgic heroes of Down for the Count Swing Orchestra, guests of the festival will not only be treated to incredible live music from the years gone by, but also some damn fine street food, as well as craft beer from Hackney locals, Crate Brewery.
Oh come on, you’re never too young to swing.
Rhythm Junction London is taking place at the Round Chapel this Saturday 13th September. Advanced tickets are £30 per person.
