The story of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby has inspired more than a few parties over the years. The age of red hot jazz, illegal liquor and all-out hedonism is an attractive combination.
But never before have you been able to actually experience what it would have been like to be part of it all.
Well, until now that is.
From the creative brains behind The Immersive Ensemble and in association with The Guild of Misrule, The Great Gatsby has been reinvented for an immersive production next year, hosted from the depths of The Vaults, located directly beneath Waterloo Station.
Guests of this swinging party affair will not only get to witness first hand the ups and downs of Jay Gatsby and Daisy's tumultuous love affair, they'll also be able to roam between numerous rooms and spaces, interacting with the production's characters and story as they go. Hot step it on the dance floor with Jordan Baker, do your best to shark Tom Buchanan on the cards table, and dance your way through one of the greatest love stories of the 20th century.
Jay Gatsby's parties were heralded as second to none, and as such this new London experience will be no different. Think bootleg cocktails, live swing and jazz music, and enough party prowess to satisfy Britney back in '07.
Cheers for the invite, Jay.
The Great Gatsby runs between 25th January - 5th March 2017, as the headline show for The Vaults Festival 2017. Tickets are £25.
