Thought you were already Sunday Roasts’ biggest fan?

Well to quote the immortal words of rock legends Bachman-Turner Overdrive in 1974; “You ain’t seen nothin’ yet”…

Toast & Roast is a brand new pop-up created by the folks over at A Grape Night In, pairing a crafted selection of wines with edgy, but dangerously tasty grub.

Hosted from homely-cum-cool-kid warehouse space in Hackney, Studio GI, this pop up ‘toasts’ all that is great about a good old Sunday roast; the food, the convivial atmosphere (book an evening sitting and get involved in their weekly quiz!) and moreover, the wine. 

Ah hell yeah the wine.

The actual roast is served over three courses, ‘The Veg’ for a starter, ‘The Meat’ for the main and ‘The Sauce’ is cleverly moulded into an experimental dessert (think crystallised horse-radish to apple-pie Yorkshire puds).

But the real star of the show has to be the wine and the hostesses’ descriptive explanation behind each pairing. They have travelled far and wide to match the perfect vinos to every flavour you’re served throughout the meal.

Yep, you guessed it - lots of flavours = lots of delicious wine.

Launching this week and coming at you every Sunday throughout the winter, the ticket price includes a glass of bubbly on arrival, a three course meal and all your wine for the event. Bargain! 

Move over Aunt Bessie, your potatoes are NOT welcome here!
