Brazil Pop Up Diner

Meat and Caipirinhas on the Southbank

Simon Drake's House of Magic

For football fans everywhere, next month marks a pretty important date in the calendar. Namely, Brazil will play host to the FIFA World Cup 2014.

Even if you’re not a fan of the footy, the thought of a trip to Rio is still undeniably tempting. The colours, the culture, the cuisine; what’s not to love? But save yo’ pennies, there’s no need to book your flights just yet. Brazil is coming to London, and with it, it brings its food.

Well, the Brazil Pop-Up Diner is hosting a series of supper clubs around the UK, taking its guests on a culinary expedition through 12 of Brazil’s cities; the same cities that’ll collectively host the tournament no less. For the London leg of the tour, they’ll be taking over an event space in the iconic OXO Tower, celebrating the meaty gastronomy of Curitiba and Porto Alegre (20th May), Belo Horizonte and Natal (21st May), São Paulo (22nd May) and finally Rio de Janeiro and Salvador (23rd May). For the Rio and Salvador themed evening, the menu has been specially designed by celebrity chef, Andy Bates; inspired by his Food Network TV show, "Brazilian Street Feasts".

Perched on the buzzing Southbank, overlooking some of London’s most famous landmarks, you’ll sup on Brazilian cocktails courtesy of Leblon Cachaca, trial out delicious regional cuisine and toe-tap to some hefty Brazilian beats.

Five bespoke courses, live music and caipirinhas to boot?

Bom apetite indeed.

The Brazil Pop Up Diner is taking over OXO2 between May 20th-23rd. Your ticket includes a five-course meal and a complimentary caipirinha. For more info and booking, click here.
