2014: Year in Review

2014 highlights
Innovation Configurations (ICs) evaluate current teacher preparation and professional development (PD) by determining the extent to which evidence-based practices (EBPs) are taught, observed, and applied within teacher preparation and PD programs.

Interested in how to use ICs in your context? Attend our free webinar, "Innovation Configurations in Action," on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Learn more here.

We provided intensive and targeted technical assistance to 22 states in 2014.

We look forward to serving even more states in 2015! Click on the map for a closer look at the states with which we partnered last year.

325Ts were grants funded by the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) for institutions to restructure and improve special education teacher preparation. The 325T Best Practice Review identified and disseminated effective strategies for restructuring preparation, fostering collaboration, improving training, integrating EBPs into program content, and evaluating program outcomes.

These literature syntheses include the most recent and credible research available in selected areas related to improving professional learning systems (PLSs) to improve outcomes for students with disabilities.

After reviewing user feedback and panel test results, we comprehensively redesigned our website in 2014. If you have not seen the site, please visit to view and download resources.

This policy analysis explores the role of state policy in preparing educators to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
