March in like a lamb, out like a lion and we have wine for both! Whatever happens!
This First Friday Fabio (ladies, the newly single Fabio) will host our tasting on First Friday March 6th from 6p-9p
Your line up with Fabio includes a Soave Classico from Veneto it's 90% Garganega 10% Trebbiano di Soave for the grapes, pale straw in color, dry and has an interesting bitter almond finish. The price is $11.59
Next is a Cesanese (Chess-an-a-say) which is the grape. The name of the wine is De'Notari and it's from Lazio Italy. The nose has light vanilla perfumes, it's intense and elegant. It's a dry, warm and persistent wine. The price is $13.59
Next will be Rosso Vigneti Delle Dolomiti, with Teroldego & Lagrein for the grapes. The nose has raspberry, pomegranate and floral with notes of purple flowers. It's dry with  balanced tannins, full bodied, strong and fleshy, persistence. The price is $16.59.
Next is Rosso Toscoano Insieme from Tuscany. The Grapes are Sangiovese, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Alicante. It's an intense ruby red with purple reflections. The Nose has hints of rose, berries and vanilla. it shows great Harmony, persistence & softness. The Price is $23.99
Finally, we'll pour Saraceno Negroamaro Rosato Salento from Apuglia, 85% Negroamaro, it's a darker rose with ripe fruit. It's lively, with rich and bright violet reflections & flavors of ripe plums. The price is  $11.59

Lisa Bell is celebrating her 2nd year in business as LK Wine Tours & Sales and we might have cake! Join us Saturday March 14th from 2p-5p.
We will be featuring a couple of wines from the Vineyard that started it all for Lisa, Lakewood Vineyards from upstate NY. 
We'll be pouring their Cab Franc, A classic Bordeaux variety, that loves their cool climate region & Their bubbly Candeo for when champagne is too much & beer not enough!  Lightly fruity and on the verge of dry. It's delicious. On a side note, Liz from Lakewood is a Clarke County girl. You may know her or her Dad, Dr. Eric Myer. The Candeo (which is Latin for Sparkle) is $15.59 & Cab Franc is $21.99. We have also selected a rose from South Africa called Silver MYn for 14.59 that you're sure to love! We'll add mor ewine as we get closer!
Dine One One! Order your food by Sunday night at midnight, pick your pick up time, pull up behind the Bright Box on Indian alley & chef Patrick Evans hands it to you and you are on your way! Since we've started working with Patrick, we have consistently ordered food from him at least once a week and it's the best thing going at that price. Fine dining without the price!

I Just picked my copy up from The Winchester Book Gallery (THAT'S the only rule of Wine & Book Club) Our next meeting up is at the Book Gallery on April 8th at 6pm. Murphys "pairs" the wines with the books and the cost is $10.00 to attend! Buy the book & join us!
