New CIDSE briefing assesses UN tool on business and human rights
With our new partner briefing, we help local communities in ending human rights violations by business.
CIDSE analyses the Guiding Principles of the UN 'Protect, Respect, Remedy' Framework to equip local communities to stand up for their rights when facing human rights violations by business. Our partners in developing countries are regularly confronted with human rights violations (see press release).

This year’s Lenten campaigns of CIDSE member organisations start amidst impending change in the Church.
During Lent, the six weeks leading up to Easter Sunday, a period of observance and reflection for many Christian denominations, CIDSE member organisations seek to inform and challenge the general public through development education programmes, raising funds for their activities. This year, several Lenten campaigns focus on the underlying causes of hunger, such as the lack of access to land and markets, as well as inequality between men and women.

World Social Forum 2013, Tunis
CIDSE joins civil society organisations from all over the world in Tunis, Tunisia, to make plans for a fairer and more democratic world. (26-30 March).
CIDSE and its members organise a range of workshops with discussions on the right to food, a post-2015 development framework and alternative models of development.
