Dynamic, New FOH Managers at Avenir Restaurant Group
Recently we've been working with the incredible team at Avenir, assisting them with new hires for their FOH staff. Founded in the summer of 1993, Avenir Restaurant Group with owner Greg St. Claire, has been dedicated to opening dynamic and individually unique restaurants. Their passion for food, wine, spirits, art and the cultural environment drives their entrepreneurial spirit. They currently have three restaurants in their portfolio: Town, the super popular steakhouse in San Carlos; Milagros, their Latin concept in Redwood City; and Nola, Palo Alto's answer to Mardi Gras. If you haven't had a chance to experience the great hospitality and cuisine of these establishments, get over there soon. You can trust us when we say, you will be well taken care of.

We're pleased to welcome Executive Chef John Griffiths to California
Starting June 4, 2013, John will be the new Executive Chef at The Kitchen, in Sacramento, CA. Cindy introduced John to Josh Nelson, Co-Founder and CFO of Selland Family Restaurants. Check out The Kitchen, one of the brilliant concepts of Selland Family Restaurants, at www.thekitchenrestaurant.com. John has been living in St. Louis for the past 9 years. He was recruited by Larry Forgione to open An American Place Restaurant in St. Louis and later took over at Truffles Restaurant. John has won many awards, has garnered tremendous press, and was invited to the James Beard House last summer.

One of Our Favorite Places in San Francisco is Piccino
We've always loved Piccino. If you haven't tried it yet, be sure to see why Michael Bauer gave Chef Jacob Town three stars. We loved working with Jacob and Piccino's owners, Sher Rogat and Margherita Stewart Sagan to create this terrific match.

Conquering Homelessness through Employment in Food Services)
Susie & Cindy have been volunteering with the C.H.E.F.S. program sponsored by The Episcopal Community Services of San Francisco for many years. Cindy is donating a private dinner for eight to their Summertini auction on Friday June 7th, 2013. She donated her time last year and it was a great success. Please join Susie and Cindy, by attending this wonderful event, in helping support the many programs for homeless adults in San Francisco.
