From Deb Martin:
I will do the workshop on Monday February 10th at 6pm-8pm at Calvary Chapel, Sandwich.
We will make clay hand built soup bowls. I will pay for the clay, the glazes and the firing so the workshop will be free to all who participate. You don’t need any experience because I will show you how to create beautiful bowls. The bowls will be donated to clay club of cape cod. The club needs 600 bowls donated. They will take the bowls to to the Soup Bowls for Hunger Dinner at Cape Cod Technical School. You can buy a $20.00 dinner ticket on March 1st through Cape Cod Clay Club to go to the dinner. At the dinner you will be able to select a soup bowl for your soup and bring a bowl home. All the money from the sale of the tickets is evenly divided among all the food pantries on Cape Cod. Kids can come and help adults make bowls. Please call me at 630-947-9100 ahead of time (as soon as possible, but no later than Sunday, Feb 9th) so I can prepare the clay slabs ahead. This will be fun and will show Christian support of our communities. Any questions people can call me Deb at 630-947-9100.
The dinner that the bowls are used and sold is called Soup Bowls for Hunger and will be held on Wednesday April 15th between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
