JUNE 2022

Welcome to the latest Geek Beat! 👋

Summer is officially here, so we're beating the heat by playing Randall Bingo and reciting this li'l limerick we wrote for our snowman app.

In this issue:
  • Bananas ... but for your phone.
  • The Geeks say goodbye to an awesome Geekmate.
  • We're hiring a Senior Web Developer!
  • + more geeky news. 🤓

It's Raining Bananas!

Screenshot of our raining bananas mobile phone wallpaper on a Google Pixel deviceAs you may have noticed, the Geeks have been celebrating our 20th bday all year long. 🎉

So, naturally, we decided we needed something snazzy for our mobile devices.

Wanna join in on the fun? (Yeah, you do!) ⬇️

Downloading our free raining bananas mobile wallpaper is easy peel-y.

(And we're sure it'll give you all the peels, er, feels. 🍌 )

Megan's Next Adventure

The Geeks at a golf outing
It's never ever easy to say goodbye to a Geekmate, especially one as integrated into the geeky inner-workings of CodeGeek as Megan.

But when Automattic, the company that owns WordPress, comes a-callin', you know it's time to break out the tissues.

In traditional Geek form, we celebrated Megan by serving up as many kudos as we could dish out, including:
  • "You are the calmest overachiever I have ever met."
  • "You’re the Spinal Tap amp turned up to 11."
  • "There is very little you can't do when you decide to take it on."
So, let's raise a glass (or the nearest putt-putt club) and toast to Megan's next adventure.

Cheers, Megan! 🍻

What We're Geeking Out About 🤓

Can We Make The Web Better?

Last month, we celebrated the 11th Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD).

The answer to the above question is "yes!," but it's hard to know where to start.

So, let's start by dreaming. ✨

But every now and then, we like to cool off by reflecting on what we’ve accomplished—together and for our clients.
