HERBAL GOMASIO RECIPE
~ 1 c. sesame seeds
~ 1/2 c. seaweed (dulse flakes work best but you can use any seaweed & just break it up into tiny tiny pieces)
~ 2 tblsp. good quality salt
~ 1/4 c. milk thistle seeds
~ 1/4 c. nettle leaf
~ Optional: 1/4 c. dock seeds (these are growing everywhere right now, join us at one of our Spring Plant Walks to learn to i.d. them)
~ Toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan, stirring constantly until seeds release their oil & turn fragrant & golden.
~ Remove from pan to cool.
~ Grind milk thistle seeds in a food processor, blender, or coffee grinder (that has never been used for coffee or all of your herbs will taste like coffee!).
~ Once sesame seeds are cool, mix them with milk thistle seeds and all other ingredients & grind.
~ Store in an airtight container on your kitchen table & sprinkle on your food!
~ This is a delicious mineral rich liver nourishing way to eat your medicine!
