My life is my message. - Mahatma Gandhi
Dear Foundation Friends,
Relationships begin unexpectedly. And they usually begin when we reveal something personal – a moment of embarrassment, a favorite food, a time when we needed help. These moments are bridges, bringing one human to another.
Special groups of people in our community are focused on human interactions, building relationships that start with need and desire. These groups will make sure you can see a doctor when you’re ill, save your house during a fire, provide a safe place for your aging mother to live or make sure food is delivered to her home, and give your nephew a college scholarship. They also provide vital supplies for classrooms, rescue you in the backcountry, and teach every subject from music to space travel. These bridge builders are our nonprofit partners that work in the Health and Human Services, and Education and Civic arenas.
Over the last few years, we have given people who provide these services and programs a new word. Essential. It’s Old Bill’s Giving Season and these essential nonprofit partners need your help, so they can be there for you when you need them – one human to another.
I hope you’ll invest in our community by giving deeply to organizations that build bridges between us.
