Listening. Evolving. Growing.
Dear Foundation Friends,
I’ve been thinking about what makes a place iconic. When I’m traveling and I tell people I’m from Jackson Hole, almost everyone has a story, or they get a wistful look on their face. It’s our mountains, for sure, and the open space that we fill with hikes, picnics, wildlife spotting, cross country skiing, and watching stars come out into a darkness that has presence.
It’s a little daunting to redesign something visual in a place that is so wildly beautiful. But we took on the challenge and refreshed the Community Foundation logo and branding. Since the community weighed in on opportunities for the Foundation, we had a better sense of how to bring our past into the now. Through listening sessions, you helped us define our current and future role here. The new logo is a reflection of your ideas and this place.
Branding is how the Community Foundation presents itself to the world. People look at you when you wear something fresh. The elements that you’ll see in our logo include the shape of the elk antler arches – certainly iconic – and dots that represent how the Foundation is made up of each of you as community members. We serve you. The colors include yellow that shines like sun and stars and a deep navy that is our water, sky, and open space. White is a classic color because we pull from history to create future.
There’s a branding statement that accompanies our refreshed logo. It says who we are, and also that you are the reason.
We believe in the power of connection. To connect generosity with need. To build a bridge from passion to purpose. It’s that bond—that essential nature of unity—that allows us to accomplish more. It unlocks potential, a future that is more than an improvement, but one that is deeply connected, dynamic, and sustainable. Our Foundation is community, distinguished by collaboration and compassion—an environment for empowering meaningful change through philanthropic permanence and organizational leadership. In this bedrock exists a vision of opportunity. Opportunity for an enriched community. Opportunity for a perpetually vibrant Jackson Hole.
There are more changes to come. We want to be relevant to past, present, and Jackson’s future. We’re listening.
