Dear Foundation Friends,
There is a new arrival in my house, and her name is Lark. She joins our pack with one furry brother and two sisters, so it’s fair to say that our house resembles a circus. My early morning jaunts with the pups is my joy. I am also learning, again, how we find sparks of joy in chaos.

In March when we went into pandemic lock down, a few of our business leaders joined our nonprofit pack. What I mean is that some business owners jumped right into the pandemic chaos to partner with nonprofits and develop food systems and methods to get personal protective equipment to Jackson. You helped support several of these efforts through your gifts to the Community Emergency Response Fund.
Gavin Fine of Fine Dining Restaurant Group joined the community nonprofit food calls and then offered his kitchens and staff to nonprofit partners to make meals and deliver them to seniors, quarantined locals, and those unable to access food. Gavin has been helping to feed our community.
Colby Cox, owner of Roadhouse Brewing Co., activated his network to place early orders for personal protective equipment. Colby is the reason that Jackson is supplied with masks and thermometers. In partnership, Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce has been handing out these masks to locals and visitors since the community re-opened.
In the midst of pandemic closings, our business friends stepped into uncharted territory without hesitation. They have created unique for-profit and nonprofit partnerships that will outlast this year’s crises. This is a cause for celebration – for joy.
Speaking of celebrations, next week opens the July 4 holiday week. I wish you and your pack a joyful and healthy holiday!
Warm regards,

Laurie Andrews
President, Community Foundation of Jackson Hole
