Hello Community Foundation Friends,
Okay, I’ll admit it. I don’t always stretch before I go for a run. Sometimes my schedule is full and I just want a quick outing with the dogs, and other times I am avoiding the moose in our yard.
We definitely need to warm up our muscles for this weekend. Old Bill’s Fun Run (Reimagined) happens on Saturday! We are in the home stretch for participating in redesigned, safe, fun activities, and for giving to your favorite causes.
Our Co-Challengers are paving the way. This special group underwrites Old Bill’s giving by providing a match to every gift that comes in during the Old Bill’s fund raising season.
I have a couple of fun facts for you. We have three Co-Challenger families that have been giving for more than 20 consecutive years. And we welcome our newest Co-Challengers who joined this esteemed group just this week. This year, in total, 71 Co-Challengers are funding every single nonprofit that participates in Old Bill’s! That is a cause for celebration.
So much has changed in 2020, but the commitment of our Co-Challengers, combined with your passion for supporting our community, charts our course for a positive future.

Run Day Reimagined - September 12
|
|
|
9:45-10:15am — Old Bill’s radio program on KHOL 89.1 or livestream at 891khol.org.
10am sharp — When the start gun would fire on a “normal” Run Day, community members are invited outside to ring cowbells or bang pots and pans in unison for one minute. This idea mimics the 8pm “community howling” in honor of essential workers that was practiced during the spring. We encourage you to participate wherever you are!
2-4pm — Old Bill’s Frozen Treat Bike pedals around to downtown Jackson playgrounds and neighborhoods, powered by volunteers from Boy Scout Troop #268.
Anytime — Run, walk, hike or bike the 5K of your choice at the time of your choice in your Old Bill’s gear and Virtual 5K bib (available on the Community Foundation porch at 245 E Simpson). A variety of 5K route ideas are available at oldbills.org. You’re invited to share your 5K videos and pictures by using the hashtag #oldbills2020 and tagging @cfjacksonhole on Instagram and/or Facebook, or by emailing abradley@cfjacksonhole.org.
