Community leaders and friends,

The Aurora Leadership Council (ALC) cordially invites you to an annual community update and volunteer recognition program on Thursday, October 13th 2022 at the Aurora Community Center.  The doors will open at 6:15 PM and the program will last from 6:30 until 8:00 PM. If you are unable to attend in person, I encourage you to listen on FB Live.

By background, in October 2021 the Town of Aurora embarked on a multi-year effort to revitalize the town and improve the conditions of the greater Richland township community.

The town, through town council resolution, established an all-volunteer council - the Aurora Leadership Council. The council formed nine committees, focused on multiple development and community improvement efforts. From the October 2021 "Kickoff", ALC eventually recruited over 100 volunteer committee members.  These volunteers meticulously developed the revitalization effort, a grass-roots initiative, and received town council approval in April 2022 of a multi-year strategic plan. That plan and its accompanying committee work can be reviewed at

We hope you can come join us for fellowship and hear of the progress to date; and the work to still be done; in achieving the goals of the strategic plan. We will have leaders from government, education, and economic development organizations provide updates on a number of initiatives.

We are excited about the momentum and look forward to your participation.
