It's that time of the year when you feel Spring is on it's way with longer days, Daffodils blooming, and people out walking on the sidewalks. It is a time to look at what you don't want to hold onto any longer and declutter your physical as well as mental environments. I recently went thru my clothes and decided that the business clothes that no longer worked for me could bring joy to someone else. So I am taking them to Dress for Success
a non profit that helps women dress for the business world.
You can apply this same de-cluttering process on a mental level by going thru the stress loops in your mind which are repetitive negative thoughts regarding the past or the future. These can include: perfection loops, judging loops, “have to do it all” loops, worry loops, rescue loops and the list goes on. Next, take these loops and choose to let them go for more positive thoughts like: I am doing my best in this moment, I don't have to be perfect to be wonderful, worry is the misuse of imagination, it's not my job to make other people happy, or I am worthy of love. You will feel lighter when you clean out the clutter in your physical surroundings as well as your mental environment. Good luck letting go of things that no longer serve you and enjoy the beauty of Spring.
