The First of Three Keys to a Love-Focused Life

Imagine a world where everyone lived in a love-focused life.  How would that be different from the world we live in now?  A place where everyone felt safe in the present moment, each person taking responsibility for his or her own feelings and needs to stay in balance and being able to feel unconditional love for themselves and all other people.  To see the shift in the world you must first see that shift in yourself.  So for the next three months we will explore one key each month to live a love-focused life.  This month’s key is about creating safety in the present moment in your life.  To be able to live a love-focused you need to feel safe in the present moment in your daily life.  You have the power to create this safety in your life by setting healthy limits with yourself and healthy boundaries with others.  So ask yourself; do I feel safe in the present moment in my daily life?  If the answer is yes, then keep doing what you are doing.  If the answer is no, then explore ways in which you can make yourself feel more safe in the present moment your daily life.  Can you set more healthy limits with yourself to feel safe? Can you set more healthy boundaries with others to feel safe in the moment?  You have power when you are able to set healthy limits with yourself and boundaries with others to feel safe.  This then allows you to feel more love in your life.  If you don’t set healthy limits and healthy boundaries then you will not feel safe to be in the world or around other people.  This creates a fear-focused life which is a challenging life to live on a daily basis. Sometimes you can get caught in a worry-loop or fear-loop that isn’t the truth of the present moment but you can convince yourself otherwise.  There are some things you can’t control in the world, so it is your wisdom that lets you know what you can change and what you can’t change in the moment.  Please spend some time this month exploring the ways you can make yourself feel safe on a daily basis like setting healthy limits on fear-based thoughts, negative self-talk, or putting yourself in stressful situations.  Practice setting healthy boundaries around others; like not taking what other people say personally, create a boundary with others’ unhealthy behaviors, or limit time spent with a person who is negative in the moment.  Feeling safe in the present moment in your daily life is the first key to living a love-focused life.
