New Sugar-Free Macalat Bars

We are excited to introduce a new sugar-free chocolate bar, Macalat! Macalat is a one-of-a-kind Shamanic chocolate that tastes better than dark chocolate, without the bitterness or the need for added sugar. Maca, Cacao, Vanilla Beans, Monk Fruit and Andes Gold Coffee are superb super foods that, when stone ground together, deliver an alertness, sense of amourous well being and a nice natural sweet finish that is superior to just chocolate, alone. Macalat is the ideal treat for Paleo, Sugar-free, Vegan, Organic, Low Carb, Perlmutter, Atkins, Gluten-free and GMO-free diets. Kids love it, too!

Consider sharing a box of Macalat with your loved one this Valentine's Day. They are handmade locally by husband and wife, John and Carol Troy.

Available at all Green Sage Cafe locations.

Introducing Our New Health Consultant

Green Sage Café is pleased to introduce our new consultant, Angela Hind, M.D.

Dr. Hind practiced traditional Internal Medicine for 17 years. In 2007, when an illness catapulted her into the role of patient rather than physician, she became acutely aware of the inability of our current medical system to prevent and treat the growing incidence of chronic disease. Her journey took her down the road of food and environmental toxins as the primary answer to modern society’s health crisis.

In 2014, she opened You, M.D., a consulting business that strives to educate and advise businesses and individuals wanting to change the way we eat. She notes, “Hope lies in changing the way we see and value food. In new paradigms for healthy eating, and a deeper knowledge of the interaction between our health and the environment, we can find renewed vitality as individuals and as a nation.”

Dr. Hind is currently consulting with Green Sage Cafe to ensure we are staying up to date and serving the very best and most nutritious ingredients to our guests, always.

One of the first steps she has guided us toward is the reduction of processed soy and the introduction of coconut milk in our restaurants. Learn more about the reasoning behind these changes from Angela's Guest Blog.

Cup Worthy Program

Green Sage Cafe donates 20 cents to a local nonprofit each time you bring a personal travel for your to-go beverage orders. This month's Cup Worthy recipient is the DogWood Alliance. Based in the mountains of Asheville, the DogWood Alliance mobilizes the public and exposes the truth about forest destruction and deforestation to inspire individuals, communities, corporations, and government to take action. Bring your travel mug to help reduce destruction caused by paper cup production.

Keep the Heart Healthy

Give your loved ones a $25 Gift Card to Green Sage Cafe for this Valentine's Day and keep the heart healthy! Gift Cards available at all three of our locations.

Happy February Birthday! The flower of the month is the iris or violet flower, which signifies watchfulness, loyalty, and faithfulness. Stop by any Green Sage Cafe on your birthday to receive a free BOGO coupon!
