It may be safe to stop antihypertensive medications in older people who are taking the medication for high blood pressure or primary prevention of heart disease.
Older adults should not stop any of their medications without talking to a healthcare professional.
Future studies should include older adults who are taking multiple other medications and/or living with frailty.

Cochrane’s Governing Board have concluded that it is the most appropriate decision to postpone the 2020 Toronto Cochrane Colloquium in its entirety for 2020 and instead hold it in the Fall of 2022.
The 2022 Colloquium will be held 11-14 September at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto, Ontario. Following the Cochrane Colloquium will be the Guidelines International Network (GIN) Conference from 21-24 September, also postponed from 2020.
